It was a busy week! We worked on a S.T.E.M activity this afternoon. The students worked in groups of two to make a boat. They were given only one piece of aluminum foil to work with. After the boats were done we tested them to see if they could float. If they were able to float we then predicted how many pennies each boat could hold. The class had a lot of fun with this activity! Below you will see pictures of the S.T.E.M activity, math activities, independent reading time, word sorts, silly socks, and students sharing their work with the class :)

October 17th-18th
Tuesday was our last day with the SCSU student teachers. They worked in small groups learning all about measurement. We are hoping to have new SCSU student teachers join us in February to continue working on small group math activities :)
