Another great week in second grade!!  This week we learned about solids, liquids, and gases.  We did a few science experiments to help us understand how some matter can change when heated or cooled. Today we announced the One District One Book...The Mouse and the Motorcycle!!!  We read the first chapter together and did a drawing of a mouse.  A copy of the book was sent home with the youngest/only child in each family.  There will be comprehension/trivia questions for each chapter.  You can find them on this website http://www.isd47.org/odob along with an audio file of each chapter. January 17th-20th

Happy Friday!!  It was a great week in Second Grade.  We had a couple of DECA students talk with us about needs, wants, spending, and saving money.  The students made a bank to help them start saving their money :)  We also had our first Battle of the Books competition.  The students worked on teams to read assigned stories over the past two weeks and then we played a game of Kahoot! to check our reading comprehension.  The winning team had lunch in the classroom!  We ended the week reading with our Kindergarten Buddies :)
