December 10th-15th

It was a great week in 2nd Grade.  We read with our kindergarten buddies, used Osmo, had a maker space challenge, practiced some readers theaters, had some awesome 3rd graders show us how to use Book Creator on the iPads, and learned a new math app.   Looking forward to more fun next week! 

Osmo!!

This week we started using our new Osmo Genius kits!!!  I was awarded a mini grant through the Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Foundation. The grant was for interactive hands on learning using technology with Osmo. I was able to purchase two Osmo genius kits and two additional resources to go along with the kits.  This has been a great addition to our Math and Reading rotations!!  We also added a Maker Space/STEM activity to our math rotations.  You can see this weeks challenge in your 2nd graders See Saw journal.  They had to use "brain flakes" to make a shelter for a bear.
